OBJECTIVES
Upon
completion of this course, the nurse will be able to:
•Define
sexual activity and describe how sex affects our brains.
•Define bonding and describe the relationship between
the brain
_ and sexual bonding.
•Describe how emotional bonding is essential for healthy,
positive sex.
•Describe the role of brain chemicals and how they influence
behavior.
•Explain how the brain is moldable and adaptable.
•Describe
the negative health consequences of casual sex and sex
_ with multiple partners.
•Describe the positive consequences of sex only with one
mate for life.
•Describe how brain imaging devices helped map out behavior.
METHOD
OF EVALUATION
Examination:
Pass = 70% or greater
GENERAL
INFORMATION
You
may complete the course as rapidly as you desire, but it must
be returned to us within one year. Please make a note on your
home study materials as to your receipt date for your future reference.
Read the material and complete the post test. Return the answer
sheet with your completed evaluation form. In case of loss in
the mail, keep a copy of your answer sheet until you receive your
certificate of completion.
Upon satisfactory completion, your certificate will be mailed
(generally within 2 weeks but please allow up to 6 weeks). If
your needs are more urgent please include a letter stating that
urgency.
The BRN requires that you retain the certificate for a period
of four (4) years after completion of the course.
